The Voidwar describes the events that ultimately led to the end of the Age of Beginning and heralded the start of the Age of Stars, as well as causing the chaotic state that the Abyssal Depths are still in to this day.

Description

It was just a silent night; the people of Tael were safely asleep, and the Voidlords continued watching it with great interest. That is, until they noticed another Voidlord in the distance, relatively small but fueled by what seemed to be an unstoppable force of recklessness and destruction. Upon closer Inspection, they noticed that this Voidlord had consumed a Voidling of destruction, which, as a result, contaminated the entire being, driving it to destroy everything that happened to fall into its view blindly. And Tael was its newest target.

Thankfully Voidlords are highly intelligent creatures and they instantly knew that just consuming the raging lord would do nothing but enrage an now even bigger Voidlord, so they had to destroy him somehow else. They bashed at it, hoping to disconnect the destructive part, but while every strike shattered the raging Voidlord a bit further, parting into hundreds of thousands of Voidlings, it also consumed parts of the protecting Voidlords, growing them weaker and weaker. However, the spark of destruction was nowhere to be seen. The other Voidlords had no choice but to risk consuming the shattered Voidlings, as they would otherwise be consumed by the raging spark sooner than later.

As the Skirmish continues, the Destructive Voidlord gets ever closer to Tael. Some of the Voidlings that split off landed on Tael, most of them getting stuck in the outer atmosphere, some stronger ones actually breaking through and landing on the ground. The Destruction got so close at this point that one of the Voidlords decided to risk it all. In a heroic instant, he fully consumed the Lord of Destruction in one quick swoop and, mere moments later, destroyed himself in a massive explosion that lit up the night sky of Tael. Millions of Voidling were flying through the Void, many landing on Tael, forming the starry night sky that can be seen to this very day. Some of them went through manifesting their Ideas in a physical form. Tael noticed these new forms and decided to give them the gift of life. These Essences later turned out to become the Gods of this Realm, as they are the purest form of their Concept or Idea that there is.

But what happened to the Voidling of Destruction? It fell onto Tael, but before that, the remaining Voidlords decided to encase it in a solid glass vial. As they could not touch nor consume it, it had to be sealed away. They let it land somewhere on Tael and put their hopes onto him to make sure it may never be unsealed.

To this day, the Vial is somewhere on the bottom of the ocean of the Abyssal Depths, where it may hopefully reside until the end of time and beyond.

Trivia

  • This event is considered the beginning of a new era, as it rapidly introduced many new Voidlings onto the World and therefore drastically changed the everyday life of Tael.
  • As the concept of Time was not yet introduced into the world at the time of these events, it is unclear how long the Age of Beginning actually lasted.
  • The Vial of Destruction is considered one of the most dangerous objects on Tael, as it could easily cause a complete cataclysm of the entire world if it gets into the wrong hands.
