The Endless King
The story of the endless King is one that people are usually taught early on to make them aware of the dangers of Timeless Rings
Story
The Endless King, whose name has ironically and purposefully been forgotten to time, is the story of a young king who sought to rule his kingdom forever. One day, he heard of the existence of a rare relic called the "Timeless Ring", which apparently allows the holder to prevent the body from aging. The King instantly ordered his people to seek out this relic. When he eventually got it, he learned that its power was quite limited and was quite disappointed. However, when suddenly another search team returned with another one, his eyes started glowing: "There is more than one? bring me more!"
So the King started to collect many of these Rings, and after countless years he eventually had enough to halt his flow of time completely. "Now I shall be able to rule this Kingdom forever!"
However, what he does not realize is that he is still young, lacking experience in many aspects of ruling a kingdom, and unbeknownst to him, the rings do not just simply stop the body from aging, but also the soul. He became unteachable, never learned from any mistakes, he couldn't adjust to changes in trends or political changes around him. Eventually, not only did his people start to distrust the capabilities of their king, but war was also on the horizon. But thinking that he was surrounded by allies, he only learned of the betrayal when the knife was already in his chest. The Kingdoms he called up for a Discussion on how to handle the coming war, thinking they were his allies, were quite surprised about the invitation. Because they were the Kingdoms that declared war. The endless King invited his demise into his own halls and singlehandedly ended the war before it even really began. When the other Kingdoms realized how the King could have been this blind, they unanimously decided to declare the abuse of such rings highly dangerous as well as send out all the rings into many different parts of the world, hoping that no one would ever be able to collect that many ever again.
