The Dark Mountains
The Dark Mountains are a massive mountain range south of the Plains of Remolus. It is the homeland of Ayla and Norn but also inhabits many dangers, as well as the Gallery.
History
The center point from where the world was shaped. The Dark Mountains are older than Tael himself and have therefore seen more civilizations and creatures than any other place. Nearly every civilization left some kind of mark somewhere within the mountains, be it the attempt to establish trade routes or towns or even just nomadic people passing by.
Description
The Dark Mountains are a massive mountain range covering the size of multiple kingdoms. While its main purpose is to prevent people from randomly stumbling into the Gallery, due to its incredibly twisted and complicated terrain, it has become the base of operation of many criminal organizations and home to creatures that are trying to flee from the civilized world. Deep in its center is the legendary Gallery, home of Ayla and Norn. It is said that only people who have been formally invited by the Gods themselves can, but also will, reach that place safely.
The Gallery
The seat of Norn and Ayla, from where they oversee the world and archive all the events on Tael, no matter how grim or insignificant they may appear. Its massive golden halls reach higher than the largest trees and the walls are filled to the brim with detailed memories of everything that ever happened. These walls are constantly extending as long as Tael is alive.
Sometimes, someone's faith or world events are already certain and unavoidable. The historians then go ahead and write that event on the wall, before it even happened

Trivia
- The Gallery is protected by a powerful illusion spell, making it nearly impossible to find without being actively invited to it.
- On the contrary, however, if you are meant to find it, the Dark Mountains will twist and turn it's natural layout silently so you will always eventually reach the Gallery safely.
- The sky in this mountain range is extremely low, causing it to be the closest area to the void reachable by mortals. This also causes it to always be dark in this area, as Suuna's light can't shine through the empty void.
