The main currency on Tael is a magical coin that can be converted into any specific value, meaning you never have to worry about having the necessary change at hand.

Coins

There are two different tiers of coins, the silver and gold coins, which are again separated into multiple face values to prevent someone from having to carry too many coins.

Silver Coins

100 Silver makes one Gold. There are Silver Coins with face values of 1, 5, 20 and 50. Just holding five 1 Silver coins together will magically merge them into a 5 Silver coin. Gesturing to split a 5 silver coin in half will turn it into five 1 silver coin. This works for every available face value. Holding two 50 Silver coins together will turn them into one Gold coin.

Gold Coins

Gold coins are the more valuable coins and are available at many different face values. The more common face values are 1, 2, 5, 10, and 50; however, some wealthy folks also sometimes carry around 100s, 500s, or 1000s coins with them. Gold coins, just like silver coins, are mergible and divisible in any face value. Splitting a 1 Gold coin will turn it into two 50 Silver coins.
