When Solair fell from the sky, this is the crater she left behind. It is a giant basin out of perfectly smooth glass in the middle of the desert of Ohmal.

History

When Solair fell from the sky, this is the crater she left behind. Originally, it was a crater in the middle of the great jungle; however, due to the chaotic time at the time of descent, it pretty soon turned all into sand, which Solair's radiating heat instantly turned into glass, ultimately forming what is now known as the Grand Glass Basin.

Description

It is a giant basin out of perfectly smooth glass. The sand that eventually falls into here slides perfectly down and sooner or later gets carried out again by the winds. As beautiful as it may look, it used to be quite a treacherous area as the glass walls are so perfectly smooth that once you fall into the basin, there is physically no escape anymore. However, nowadays, plenty of emergency ropes are placed all around the landmark, which, unless you travel alone, can just be thrown to help you out.

Solairs Valley

When Solair traveled from her crater to Tempus Peak, her radiating heat was still enough to leave a molten pathway of glass behind her. This path can still be found today in the form of a relatively massive glass canyon, leading right from the Great Glass Basin straight to Tempus Peak.
