Every ability or spell in this world is connected to a certain type of damage, and different elements might interact differently with each other.

Description

All damage types are grouped into three major types: mortal, magical, and celestial.

Mortal

Mortal represents the types of the average life on Tael.

Physical

Damage dealt by raw physical power, like swords, fists or guns. It can generally be further specified into Striking (hammers, fists, guns, etc.), Piercing (daggers, bows, etc.) and Slicing(scimitars, scythes, etc.) damage.

Mental

Effects that directly affect someone's mind without the need for magic. Examples are insults or threats. Usually, it does not deal damage directly, but it can potentially cause other effects such as taunting.

Magic

Magic represents the main types of energy conjurable by magic.

Arcane

Raw magic that is not directly connected to any other kind of magic.

Nature

Magic that uses natural forces. It can be further specified into Fire, Water, Earth, Ice, Wind, and Lightning.

Celestial

Celestial represents the powers cast or powered by greater Gods directly.

Void

Powers so chaotic you never really know what to expect, everything is possible in the infinite vastness of the Void.

Lunar

Lunar magic is powered by the shadowy veil of Lunara, the dim light of the night. It cannot affect entities affected by Solar power.

Solar

Solar magic that is powered by the guiding lights of Suuna. Cannot affect entities affected by Lunar powers.
