Landscape
The Waters are always completely calm, with no storms or waves ever. Despite this, it is still one of the most dangerous areas to traverse in this world, as even the slightest noise could cause the doom of the entire shipping crew.
Shattratath's Realm
The area infected by Shattratath's influence. At the bottom of the Silent Ocean, his realm stretches across a vast part of the sea. The water in this area takes on a scarlet red color, which resembles the concentrated essence of fear imbued in it. This so-called Scarlet Water, if touched or just looked at from afar, reflects images and scenes of the viewer's greatest fears and nightmares, sometimes even ones the person didn't know yet.
The Hivejellys that are local to this realm are technically unaffected by the influence of Shattratath due to them not having enough consciousness to have any fears and not having any natural predators. However, since they instantly share their consciousness with creatures they come in contact with, the creature instantly feels the full effects of the hivejellys within the realm.
While it is physically impossible to observe due to the presence of the Scarlet Water, the real area consists of ancient pillar-like structures and temples scattered across the ocean floor made almost entirely out of marble like smooth stone. What used to be a thriving religious center home to many humble disciples is now a devastated wasteland with nothing left but the stone structures. Within one of those temples slumbers Shattratath, while the remaining buildings are usually covered in Hivejellys.
