The Goblin is a small humanoid creature who is known for its mechanical and financial expertise.

Anatomy

An adult goblin is no taller than 1 meter standing upright. They usually have greenish skin and long pointy ears facing behind them. Their skin is often quite rough and wrinkly. The nose is almost looking out of proportion in terms of its massive size. Their canine teeth are about twice the size of the rest of the teeth.

Greenskin

The most common form of the goblin.

Gobfin

These are goblins that have adapted to aquatic life. Their ears have turned into fins, and their skin has turned blueish. Additionally, they have fins between their fingers and toes.

History

Originally elves who became obsessed with tinkering with heavy machinery, they eventually grew smaller and smaller to fit into the nooks and crannies of their machines. Their skin got tougher due to all the handiwork they had to do.

Monetars Testgroup

When Monetar first landed on this world, Tael was quite suspicious of the effectiveness of his "currency," so he allowed him to give it a test run on the goblins of Blackgold. It did not take them long to dig into the concept, learn to love it, and figure out every last quirk of it. Mere weeks went by before the goblins requested to make the currency internationally available so they could extend the market of their machinery. Needless to say, Tael was convinced, and shortly after, Monetar's Coin became a common currency in all of Tael.

Abilities

Tinkerer's Blood

Any Machine that is not magical can be studied for 10 minutes. After analyzing the machine for 10 minutes, the goblin fully understands how it works and its intended use.

Automaton Slayer

Due to their advanced knowledge of machines, they know where to hit them to hurt them. The dice roll required to hit them critically is reduced by 2. It also nullifies any physical resistances the Automaton may have.

Golden Tongue (Greenskin only)

Becomes skilled in any Charisma check, as long as currency is involved.

Hydrophil (Gobfin only)

Completely absorbs Water Damage and heals for the full amount of damage absorbed.

Greed (Weakness)

When witnessing currency being destroyed, they will automatically be taunted by the creature causing the destruction.
