Voidling

Voidlings are a natural phenomenon mainly found within the Void. Their being usually consists of just a single thought or concept

Habitat

Voidlings are naturally occuring in the Void and fly aimlessly around there.

Some Voidlings have eventually descended onto Tael and are living there as part of its ecosystem since. As they are not mortal in the traditional sense and are usually representing their original concept integrated into this world, they are often considered gods by the life on Tael.

Anatomy

Voidlings by default are just a spark or rather an orb of blue energy wandering around. When they manifest a life on Tael, they usually take on a form that makes them more approachable by the other lifeforms, which is often a humanoid creature common in the area where the voidling resides.

Behaviour

In the Void

Voidlings are flying aimlessly around the Void in the never ending search for other Voidlings to consume. When a Voidling consumes another, they merge their thoughts and concepts together into one being, which can eventually lead to incredibly intelligent beings.When a Voidling consumes enough other Voidlings, they will eventually be considered a Voidlord, a gargantuan being consisting of millions of Voidlings.

On Tael

Voidlings are not mortal in the traditional sense, meaning that even when their mortal body dies, the spark within will live on and search for a new host, unless they are actually consumed by another Voidling in the process. This and the fact that they usually represent a very basic or specific concept on Tael causes them to be seen as Gods on this world, and are (in most cases) also treated as such.
