The water in this area takes on a scarlet red color, which resembles concentrated essence of fear imbued in it. This so called Scarlet Water if touched or ~~even~~ just looked at from afar, reflects images and scenes of the ~~viewers~~ greatest fears and nightmares, sometimes even ones the person didn't know of yet.
